LISTEN TO EPISODE 4 HERE!
If you read the title of this episode and immediately started to sing the all-familiar Olivia Newton-John song, we’re going to be great friends! I love me a good 80’s song and I will never turn down an opportunity for a little dance break, karaoke session!
But before I get off track and break out into some Bon Jovi, let’s get to today’s confession. Are you ready for it? Here it goes.
It’s really hard for me to get personal on social media.
And as much of the hard work that I’ve done to help me negate and work through some of these feelings, I’m not perfect and I’m still working through them.
As a people pleaser and a peacemaker, I am always so worried about what other people will think of me. What if I share too much? What if I say the wrong thing? What if they couldn’t care less about what I made for dinner? And here is the really big one, what if they don’t like me?
Can you relate?
Do you constantly worry about the people on the other side of the screen?
The people you’re trying to please, the people you’re trying to excite, the people you’re trying to create a connection with. I worried about this for many, many years and that fear kept me from showing up as my true, authentic self. But I’m so happy to report that each day, I feel more confident than the day before to share my story and let people into my world. It’s taken a lot of practice, but I’m getting there and I’m going to share what has worked well for me over the past few months!
