Hi friend! Thank you so much for tuning into Episode 29 of “Confessions of a Serial Entrepreneur!” Today we are chatting all about the dreaded mom-guilt and even if you’re not a mama, I’m certain this is also an episode for you! As mothers and women in general, we are at battle with the internal struggle of feeling guilty and today, I want to shut it down once and for all!
But before we get to showing guilt who’s boss, I have a confession to make!
There was a time when mom-guilt almost swallowed me up.
I constantly felt like I wasn’t doing enough and that I wasn’t doing it right. My kid’s lunches weren’t cut in cute shapes, their rooms didn’t look like a photo from Pottery Barn, we didn’t have curated family photos from every single event we attended, heck, we didn’t always attend all the fun events, and we watched screens and ate sugar at times to just make it through the day. The list could really go on and on but the bottom line is that I looked to the internet to tell me what my motherhood should look like and when mine didn’t match up, I felt like I could never possibly measure up!
In this episode you’ll hear all about:
- What mom guilt looks like and why we feel it.
- Why mom guilt has taken over our lives.
- Ways to combat the guilt and live in freedom!
