It’s no secret that I don’t really love being in the kitchen, but there is just something about the Fall season that turns me into Betty Crocker. As soon as the leaves start to change and the air starts to chill, I crave all the comfort foods and find myself truly enjoying my time cooking and baking. But it isn’t just food recipes I’ve fallen in love with. 6 of my favorite fall recipes are on repeat in our home from September to December and you might just be surprised by a few.
From home-cooked meals all the way to festive cleaner recipes, I have you covered for all things Fall in your home. I want you to feel inspired in this new season and the best way I think to help you do that is to share what’s on our kitchen table all the way to what we have pumping through our diffusers.
So grab a pen and paper because you’re going to want to take note of all the things to get you into the festive Fall spirit.
1. What’s for dinner?
You can always expect to enjoy slow-cooked pork or beef in my home on repeat during the Fall season. I love serving this dish because it fills everyone up, makes them feel warm and cozy, and is so easy to prepare. Simply throw your meat in the crockpot with onions and seasonings and let it go all day. Serve with a vegetable and potatoes and you have yourself a quintessential Koehler family meal.
2. Don’t forget the baked goods.
You simply cannot spell Fall without baking. Or something like that. But you get what I mean. When the seasons change to Fall, I always get the urge to bake. And if you’ve been following me on Instagram over at @mkoehler then you’ve seen I’ve recently gotten into sourdough, but that’s another saga for another day.
The number one thing I love to bake in the Fall is Banana Bread. You can find my favorite recipe here in Magnolia’s Cookbook. Trust me on this one. I’ve tried all the recipes and this one’s hands down the best.
3. Fill your diffuser with the scents of Fall.
We run our diffusers all year long, but there is just something about the scents of Fall that really gets me excited to start the diffuser each morning.
5 drops Christmas Spirit
2 drops Cinnamon Bark
4 drops Vanilla
3 drops Lime

4. Don’t sleep on healthy skin.
I don’t know about you, but the cool temperatures of Fall are not too kind to my skin. To keep it hydrated, I reach for my CBD Beauty Boost morning and night. It is the perfect mix of hydration and glow that keeps me feeling rejuvenated all season long.
5. Stay healthy and hydrated.
As the calendar changes to the Fall season, everyone starts to focus on winter wellness. And for good reason. Kids bring germs home from school, the change in weather wears on our bodies, and the lack of sunlight really does us in. That’s why I am sure to start each day with my favorite healthy drink.

6. Who doesn’t love a good fall-inspired cleaner?
If you have followed me for any time it’s no secret that the only cleaner I use is Thieves All Purpose Cleaner. But I do like to switch up the scent with the seasons and it’s so easy to do. Simply follow the directions on the bottle to mix up your desired cleaning ratio and add in 5 drops Orange, 2 drops Clove, and 5 drops Vanilla.
It’s like Fall in a bottle and somehow it makes you want to clean even more just so your home can smell this amazing. It’s a win-win for everyone! And everything you need is right here!
