How are you doing? Are you surviving the quarantine life with grace, guilt or grief? I’m over here balancing all three depending on the hour! But I have a little challenge for you.

And don’t freak out over the word “challenge.” I promise it will be super fun and your kids are the ones who have to do all of the work!

If you’re like me, you’re wanting to spend quality time with your kids while teaching them more than just information from a textbook.

But how in the world do we do that?

In order to do that, you need something for them to do that will challenge their minds, give them organized structure, and show them the importance of dreaming big. Easier said than done, right?

Your plate is already so full because of social distancing and stay-at-home orders and you’re probably feeling more overwhelmed and frustrated than ever before as a parent. How can you suddenly provide every single aspect of home and school life for your children at just a moment’s notice?

I understand what it’s like to have three very active children at home, but I believe as parents we shouldn’t have to stress about having our children at home with us 24/7. So why not give them a little challenge that will occupy their mind and spike their creativity while you find a moment of peace in the shower?

So here’s the challenge…

I want to challenge your young ones’ minds to come up with a really cool business idea of their own. Think “Shark Tank Jr.” style. They will come up with the idea and use the instructions we provide to help them create their ideal business. A business completely made up by them. Encourage them to get as creative as they want. At the end of our competition, there will be three winners who each receive a $100 cash prize (via Venmo or PayPal). That cash is theirs to use as they see fit. They can save it for their future, spend it on the latest toy or game they’ve been eyeing, or even give it back to their community. However they want to spend it, it’s their choice!

Participating is super easy!

2. Have your kid(s) come up with their own unique business idea using the steps outlined in the PDF, we’ll share daily prompts on Instagram to help you keep going!
3. Share the process on your Instagram account, tag me so I can share too, and encourage your friends and family to join the challenge.
4. Record a 1 minute (or less) video of them explaining their business, post it on your Instagram stories and tag me, or submit your one minute video in an email to hello@ melissakoehler.net

Stop feeling frustrated and overwhelmed in this season and help your kids learn a valuable life skill that may earn them some cold hard cash! And don’t forget to take a few minutes of quiet time for yourself while they work on it!
