Today let’s take a peek at the age-old question that we’ve all asked ourselves when running a business, “Am I doing it right?” It is such a loaded question when it comes to business building and honestly, what is “right” for you won’t always be “right” for other entrepreneurs. But there is good news!
First: Change your mindset.
All of the negative things you feel about building a business, all of the naysayers in your corner, all of the lies that are holding you back, throw them right out the window. They have no place in your life or your business and freeing yourself from those feelings, offering grace, and being willing to pivot when roadblocks appear will only help push you towards the growth you’re working towards. This simple shift in mindset will not only help you feel lighter, but it will also have an incredible impact on how far you can grow!
Second: Get Organized
Whatever organization looks like for you, be sure to have systems in place that help to make your life easier. When you become organized, your workflow becomes effortless, leaving space for growth and freedom in your day-to-day work on what matters most. If organization isn’t your strong suit, be sure to check out these tips on getting and staying organized. CLICK HERE
Third: Set Working Hours
Stop flying by the seat of your pants and designate a proper space and timeframe for your work each day. Even though you are your own boss, setting office hours and boundaries for yourself is one of the most important things you can do for your business. This may take some getting used to, especially if you have been used to working wherever and whenever you want, but it is so important to implement in order to ditch the overwhelm and burn out you may feel when running your business.
Fourth: Take Off A Few Hats
You don’t have to do it all. You may have worn all of the hats at the beginning of your business because it was new and fun and you had the energy to do it all. But as your business grows, give yourself permission to pass some hats off to other people who want to help you. Delegate roles and stick to the ones you are passionate about. There is absolutely no shame in saying it’s too much. Find people who have the talents and skillsets to carry the workload with you. Be sure to read more about the importance of this here: CLICK HERE
Fith: Find a Community
There is strength in numbers. It’s simple science. If you are running a business without cheerleaders in your corner, you need to find a community of like-minded individuals who know your struggles and help encourage you to chase your goals and dreams. Having people to love and support you on the hard days and celebrate you on the winning days is so crucial to the growth of your brand and your soul!
