My First Roll of Film

I started my love affair with photography many years ago, but it really started to bloom when I was in high school photography class. I learned about everything photo there. It all started with my grandpa’s Canon AE-1. It’s manual focus, which was challenging with this last roll of film. I have lots to practice still but I wanted to show you how it turned out. I left some of the out of focus ones in there too 🙂

Most of this was shot on 2.8 with the exception of some of the landscape photos. I will need to play with shooting wide because I like the shallow depth of field but I also like focus 🙂

Film was Kodak Porta 400

I went driving around Bend and stopped to get the beauty that is high desert + pine trees + mountains.

All in all I am pretty happy with my first roll.

I can’t wait to go out and shoot again! 🙂

These are beautiful! Such simple parts of the world look so beautiful on film.
