Where are all of my Enneagram 3 friends? Today lets talk about what the perfect day looks like if you are an enneagram type three! 

It’s not easy being three. 

And I’m not talking about being a toddler, although I hear that is pretty challenging as well. But the three I’m here to talk about is the Enneagram kind of three. You have a lot going on and you love it that way, don’t you? But what would the perfect day look like if you are an enneagram type three?

You’re happiest when your to-do list is full and you are surely changing the world with every hour that passes. 

Your perfect day would consist of waking up with a renewed sense of self, ready to start the day. Your “to-do” list is a mile long and that excites you. You’re committed to your goals, so you get right to working on them as soon as your feet hit the ground. Your best friend calls just to say how much they value your friendship and your entire week has now been made. You work from sun up to sun down and you feel so accomplished because of it. 

You have a “can-do” spirit and there isn’t anything you won’t try once, maybe even twice. You show up with your problem-solving skills whenever you’re needed and you always give 100%. We never have to worry when a type three is involved in a project. We know you will always follow through.

Your energy and optimism are contagious and you have this crazy ability to connect with anyone you meet. You truly don’t know a stranger. You’re constantly looking for the good in people and when you see it, you speak it, making you everyone’s favorite encourager. 

You’re very direct with your thinking and sometimes that makes people feel intimidated, even when that’s not your intention.

You’re so strong and resilient that we oftentimes forget you need encouragement and reassurance just like the rest of us. People look at you and wonder how you can work so hard, yet you usually feel like you’re not doing enough. 

You need to feel safe with someone before you really let them in and sometimes that makes you seem unapproachable which can make you feel insecure. You appreciate feedback when it’s constructive and appropriate, but undue criticism is super hurtful. And while you’re always looking for ways to improve, feeling valued and worthy simply because of who you are and not what you do is so very important to you. Even if it takes a while to actually believe it.  

You are a problem solver, community builder, encourager, stand back, and watch me take over the world kind of doer, and everyone is always in awe of you. 

As you read this, you might be screaming these truths from the rooftop or recognizing your co-worker, best friend, or spouse in every word.  The threes of the world are getting stuff done and we’d barely survive without them, especially in business. Whether you are a type three, love a type three, or work with a type three, hang on to this graphic so you always know how to “get along” in life and in business.
