In an online world of social selling, it’s so important that you stand out in the crowd! So today we are going to talk about how to advertise on Pinterest!
And with social sites forever changing algorithms and updates it can be super frustrating to stay in the know and keep your content in front of your ideal clients.
But you know what isn’t frustrating these days?
An average of 442 million users actively use Pinterest each and every month so your odds of having your advertisements seen are pretty darn good.
Advertising on Pinterest helps to send traffic to your content, build brand awareness, and boost your sales and online engagement. And isn’t that what every entrepreneur is constantly chasing?
So how exactly do you advertise on Pinterest?
First things first, you have to have a business account.
You can create a brand new account using your business email or you can even link your personal account with a business account, but in order to promote your business through advertisements and have access to the analytics side of Pinterest, you have to be sure your account is set up as a business.
Next, you want to install a Pinterest Tag.
This is simply a piece of code that you will add to your website that allows Pinterest to track your traffic and create data for the actions they take while they’re there.
To get started, you will want to open the Ads Manager in Pinterest and head to the “Ads” tab on the menu link, and click “Conversion Tracking.” From there you will follow the steps to create an active tag in order to begin tracking the traffic your Pinterest Ads generate!
Just like online shopping, it is really easy to jump into the Pinterest Ads Manager and spend a large sum of money on Advertising. So it’s super important that you know your budget and stay close to that amount. To help you stay on track, be sure to identify the goals you hope to achieve from these advertisements and the money you stand to make if they are successful.
The ultimate goal is to have the income generated always be greater than the ad spend, so take some time knowing those numbers and create a budget that makes sense for your bottom line.
In a recent poll, 83% of Pinterest users stated that they made a purchase following an ad they saw while scrolling their account or searching for keywords. This is exactly why I say advertising on Pinterest is frustration-free. It’s super simple to create your ads, you don’t have to spend a ton of money to get your ad seen, and 83% of people that see your ad are likely to make a purchase. That is an incredible amount of people heading to your website to finalize a sale!
If you aren’t using Pinterest to advertise your business and products or service, I highly suggest taking some time in the near future to make that a priority in your marketing. In business, we are always so focused on numbers and with Pinterest, the numbers don’t lie.
People are using Pinterest to influence where they spend their money. Wouldn’t that be awesome if they were spending it with you?
