And today I want to chat about a simple place to start when setting up systems! 

Believe it or not, the easiest thing you can do to get systems in place immediately is through email responses. 

No matter what line of work you are in, I am willing to bet one of your least favorite things to do is respond to emails. Especially when you’re an entrepreneur. Chances are you didn’t start your business so you could sit on the computer all day. 

You started a business because you have skills and talents that you’re passionate about and being on the computer answering emails can sometimes be what gets in the way of you actually working where you are gifted. 

So let’s create a system to help you spend less time in your inbox. 

Do you feel like you are constantly responding to emails with the same message but you’re taking forever to type out that response each and every time? 

Create a series of email responses that you can save and simply insert that template into your response each time you need it. 

To help you create these templates, think of all the FAQs or common emails you get and start creating responses to them. Customize them to match your brand and save them for easy sending. This helps you stay consistent with your messaging, saves you time with responses,  and helps you train employees how to respond on your behalf while keeping your brand’s messaging consistent. 

When you have work that you do over and over again in your business, it’s likely there is a system you can create to help you streamline that work and complete tasks quickly and seamlessly. Anytime you find an opportunity to work smarter in your business, you should take it and run with it!

Take some time today to dig into your business and write out the things that you do repeatedly. Emails, customer communications, product production, whatever it is, write everything down and then write out what it takes to get that thing done. 

And from there, create a system that helps you complete it. 

Systems will look different for everyone. There is no right or wrong way to create them. The only important part is that you create it, implement it, and put it to good use! 

Spend this week setting up a system for your email responses. I promise it will save you time and sanity! And we all could use more of both!
