We get it. Social Media can be overwhelming at times and you don’t always want to rely on it as your only means to connect with your audience.

But how do you reach people when a connection to social media seems to have become a way of life? 

We have a few ideas that we believe every entrepreneur should be taking advantage of in order to connect with their audience and reach their ideal clients. We hope you’ll take some time to check each of them out and start implementing them in your marketing today! 

1. Write Newsletters.

Newsletters help keep your customers and prospects up to date with all that is happening in your business. They give you access to the inboxes of your ideal clients and it’s so important that you use them to help grow your brand and build your value and credibility.

While you use them to give your subscribers updates on your business, products, and services, it’s important to remember that it’s not just something you should be using to make a sale, but rather pull them deeper into your mission. Your emails should feel like an encouraging word from a friend and not like a sales pitch from a car salesman.

2. Send cards and gifts to past clients.

Remind your past customers that you care about them and are still incredibly grateful for their support of your business. Take just a few minutes to write them a card thanking them for their support and if you have the means to swing it, even include a small gift that shows them just how much you appreciate them and want to stay connected. 

3. Send them a text.

Text messaging services are making it even easier to connect with your audience without having to jump on social media. Invest in programs like Project Broadcast that make it easy to reach a large audience with your message. They simply need to opt-in and then you can connect with them through their phone on a consistent basis! It’s really a fun new concept!

4. Start a podcast. 

Podcasts are a great way to get your message out there and become an industry leader in your line of work. It is a great platform to help you get more eyes on your brand as you work to clarify your message of what you have to offer. On top of being a great way to reach your audience, a podcast also makes it easy to repurpose that content for things like newsletters and blogs, allowing you to work smarter, not harder when it comes to reaching your audience. We also love that podcasts make it easier to connect and collaborate with other entrepreneurs through guest spots and interviews!

5. Write a blog. 

Blogging is not dead. It is still very much alive and well and it is a great way to reach your audience outside of social media. I love blogging because it belongs to you and only you and gives you the freedom to share in ways that are authentic and meaningful to you! You can fill it with words or pictures or a bit of both and tailor it to exactly who you are and what you have to share.

The possibilities for connecting outside of social media really are endless if you take the time to get creative! But this doesn’t mean you have to abandon social media. It is a really great tool to utilize to help build a business and connect with your audience and we encourage you to still spend your time there. But sometimes you just need a change of scenery and we believe these five options are a great place to start!
