“How do I grow my following on social media?”
It’s the age-old question that we hear over and over again. We live in an online world and staying competitive means staying in front of as many people as possible. And we get just how important that is to you.
More followers mean more eyes on your brand and more eyes on your brand means more sales in your pocket and isn’t that the ultimate goal for any business?
We have a few easy tips for you to start implementing today that will ultimately drive the right people to your brand. As you set these steps into motion, be sure to always have your ideal client in mind. You’re going to want to think of them with each and every word you write and picture you post.

1. Be consistent.
Show up each and every day, stick to the same genre of content your followers are used to, and keep your visual aesthetic as consistent as possible. People are creatures of habit and they want you to be exactly who you say you are! And they want to see you in their feeds as often as possible.
2. Create content specific to your audience.
This is where knowing your ideal client is so crucial. Know exactly who they are and what they want to hear. And then be sure to give them what they’re looking for in the content you create.
3. Teach them something and honor their input.
We believe that you should always give more than you take when it comes to social media so be sure to give value to your followers. The best way to do this is to teach them something on a consistent basis and offer them opportunities to ask you questions and share their input.
4. Give them a behind-the-scene glimpse.
If you want to gain trust with your audience, be sure to give them behind-the-scenes peeks into your daily work and personal life. People want to know you are a real human behind their computer screen so be sure to be as real and authentic as possible. We know that social media is a place for beautifully curated feeds but we also know that people need a healthy balance of “real life” so they can relate to you!
No matter how many blogs you read or courses you complete on helping you grow your audience on social media, always remember that the most important thing you can do is to be yourself. People are craving real, authentic interactions and if you can be the person to give that to them, you will always win. Be a friend, create community, and offer support where you can.
