Today let’s chat about a few ways can you can market your business online.  Could your current marketing strategy use a little help? Is your current plan not helping you grow? 

Heck, you may be asking, “What even is marketing?” And that’s a great question!

Marketing simply refers to the things you do to promote the sale of your product or services. This would include your advertising, promotions, sales techniques, and the delivery of your product to your customers. 

But why is it important? Another great question! 

Marketing your brand is incredibly crucial to the growth of your bottom line because it helps you to create and maintain relationships with your audience. And of course, it helps to produce and drive sales! It isn’t a one-and-done kind of thing. It is an ever-present aspect of your business that you need to remain engaged with in order to see your business flourish and grow. 

So what types of things can you be doing to market and grow your brand?

Like it or not, one of the most popular ways to market your brand is through the use of social media platforms. While there are so many ways to market your business offline, today we are going to focus on marketing to grow online:

• Post daily or as often as possible. Creating your presence in this space is so important and you should be showing up for your audience each and every day. 
• Take advantage of groups and event pages on any platform that provides them. Create VIP groups for your customers and host events to encourage your audience to engage with you! Engagement is a HUGE part of marketing your brand! 
• Go live as often as possible. Go live to share your sales, promotions, and new products. Social Media platforms love to see you going live and this will help the algorithm work in your favor, getting your presence out to as many people as possible. 
• Offer fun sales, promotions, and contests when it makes sense for your business. Encourage people to like, share, and tag friends in order to be entered to win. This will help increase your engagement and reach more people! 

Regardless of where or how you choose to market, one of the most important things you can do to create a solid marketing strategy is to know what results you’re working towards. 

What do you hope your marketing efforts do for you? How many sales do you hope to see? How many people do you hope to reach? How many connections do you hope to make? How much engagement do you hope to receive? On top of answering these questions, be sure to practice SMART goals (more on that next week) and assign a timeline. Don’t think in terms of the life of your business, but rather in months, weeks, or even days!
