I feel like so many people struggle with the concept of time.
Whether it’s the fact that time is a thief and your kids are growing up way too fast or the fact that you’re juggling the time in your day to get to everything and it’s still not enough, I think we can all agree that time is our most precious commodity.
But there simply just isn’t enough time to do it all.
I have to tell you, you’re not alone! The Blush Pages Community is full of mamas and business owners just like you! If you’re in need of building friendships with women in your same season of life, I’d love for you to join our conversations and have exclusive access to content created to help move you forward and teach you ways to manage it all!

But mama or not, each and every entrepreneur is pulled in a million different directions and I’d love to share tips for managing your time. Let’s just dive right in, shall we?
- Do one thing a day. Don’t try to do ten things for your business and then get stressed that your house isn’t the way you want it. Focus on one thing. I’ve learned over the years that I have to write down what my weekly goals are in my planner at the beginning of the week. Every day I pick at least one thing to cross off that list and work on it until it’s done. And be sure to prioritize that one thing. How important is the one thing you are choosing to do for your business? Will it move the needle towards growth?
- Put your phone down. I don’t know about you, but it’s really easy for me to waste a TON of time mindlessly scrolling on my phone. I know this is a hard thing to implement because so many of us actually work from our phones, but when it isn’t necessary to get things done, put it away, toss it aside, or put it on airplane mode. This will eliminate a huge distraction when it comes to working intentionally with the time you have.
But when you are using your phone to get work done and be productive, I’d love to send you a few texts to keep you motivated! Text “dailytips’ to 1(619)320-1332
- Set yourself a timer. If you only have 20 minutes to get work done, set a timer for those 20 minutes and don’t allow your mind or your body to wander to a new task until those 20 minutes are up. It is amazing what we can accomplish with just 20 minutes of uninterrupted time. So if you find yourself with a bit of time, get your tunnel vision on, set that timer, and get to work!
- Start a calendar. Write down your daily tasks and to-dos and use them as a guide throughout the day to make sure you get everything done. Be sure to put the most important tasks at the top of your calendar as we are more prone to work through our lists from the top, down!
I use my share iCal that Mark and I have access to but I also have my Get To Work Book on my desk and I use that every single day to keep me on track for all things business.
- Take breaks! If you’re anything like me, you’ll need to schedule these into your day. It’s so easy for me to work from sun up until sun down and I need to be reminded to take breaks both for myself and my family. Make time for breaks and remove any and all distractions from work that may force you back into entrepreneur mode. I know it seems like taking a break is a waste of your time and not a way to properly manage it, but they, in fact, help us to be much more productive because they keep our spirits high and our attitudes positive!
- Create working hours. In order to keep your mind organized and your time balanced, you have to create working hours. Map out the hours you will work each day and be sure to communicate those hours with your employees, customers, and family. We all know that as entrepreneurs, fires arise out of nowhere that need our immediate attention, but if something happens outside of your office hours that isn’t an emergency, work really hard to save it for the next day.
- Hire help. If you are able, a great way to take responsibilities off of your plate and free up more time is to hire someone to help you complete areas of your work. I know this isn’t realistic for everyone, especially when you’re first starting your business, but it is a great goal to work towards. Decide today who you will hire when you’re able and put that position on your vision board!
I used to have the mindset that I could do it all but now I have hired out a graphic designer, web designer, social media manager, reels manager, copywriter, marketing and advertising manager, ads manager, texting manager and am happy to continue to hire out more to give me time to focus on things that I really love doing.

I hope these tips leave you feeling encouraged to tackle your days with a plan that offers grace and a lot of wiggle room as you balance all areas of your life! I know it isn’t easy to run a profitable business and raise a thriving family and do all of the things, but it is more than possible and you are just the person to do it! Here’s to you taking back your time and starting to feel accomplished! I’m cheering for you friend!
